Carl Dorvil, CEO

Carl Dorvil grew up in Garland, Texas and is the son of Haitian immigrants. Dorvil graduated from SMU in 2005 with a Triple Major in Public Policy, Economics, and Psychology, with Distinction; he also received his MBA from SMU Cox School of Business. Dorvil is an entrepreneur with a passion for social enterprises. His most successful business to date is a mentoring/tutoring company called Group Excellence. In 2004, he founded Group Excellence out of his dorm room at SMU. The company started with a $20,000 grant from Texas Instrument Foundation. Since its inception, Group Excellence has provided over 800,000 hours of tutoring to students around the country, and created over 2,000 jobs. In 2011, Dorvil sold the company to a Dallas-based investor group. Two years later, he bought it back for 10% of the original sales price. After stabilizing the business, Dorvil sold the business again to a group that converted it into a nonprofit. In 2010, Dorvil received the Minority Business Leader award from the Dallas Business Journal and Group Excellence made it to the Top 100 on SMU's Dallas 100 Fastest-Growing Businesses list.  In 2011, Dorvil was the youngest-ever honoree on the DBJ’s 40 Under Forty, and Group Excellence was the fifth fastest growing education company on the Inc. 500 List of fastest-growing companies in the United States. Currently, Dorvil is CEO of GEX Management - a full service back office business for fellow entrepreneuroholics. He is also a Board Member/Investor/Partner in a number of private companies in Texas, Florida, and Delaware. In addition, he is a regular contributor to Forbes, with his most recent article being Challenges and Opportunities When Doing Business With The Government. Dorvil carries his Series 82 and Series 63 licenses. 

Clayton Carter, CFO

Clayton Carter received his Bachelor of Arts in Integrated Marketing and Communications from Pepperdine University. With his extensive knowledge of the public markets and investment-based finance, Mr. Carter has raised the capital to develop multiple startups. Clayton Carter has served as Freestone Resources’ President and CEO from 2010-2015, and is currently serving as a director on the board of Freestone Resources.  In 2016 Mr. Carter became the Chief Financial Officer and director for GEX Management, Inc., and currently serves in these roles.  

Chelsea Christopherson, COO

Chelsea Christopherson received her Business Management degree from Dallas Baptist University. She has several years' experience executing operational processes for young, growing businesses across a variety of industries. Joining Group Excellence in 2010, she worked her way up to HR Director in 2012, and became VP of Group Excellence in 2013 while continuing to maintain an active role in other business operations. Her list of accomplishments includes the HR management of a 600 person staff, building and implementing processes to manage a geographically diverse workforce in the midst of unpredictable staffing patterns, and assisting in the development of a technological business process tool that handles everything from employee onboarding to performance reviews. She has also lead and executed on the processing, handling, and submission of over $13 million in receivables and served as a compliance auditor for billing. Chelsea is currently Chief Operating Officer for GEX Management, where she oversees all operations of the company and it's clients.
